One of the attractions during dasara festival is the Throne" which is kept for public viewing only for 9 days in a year!. "Golden Howdah are used in the elephant parade in dasara festival is "AMBAARI" which is attractive and eyecatching.

Day 3 - Mysore / Nagarhole
Early morning after breakfast leave to visit Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary.
Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary is a lush green islands on the river Cauvery, are home for an astonishing variety of migratory birds from as far away as Siberia - Spoon bills, Open Bill Stork, White Ibis, Little Egret, Darter, Pond Heron, Cattle Egret, Cormorant, Wild Duck, Peafowl. A little boat takes you close to the islands where the trees are covered with birds of different species. The only sounds are the cries of birds, swoosh of wings and the ripple of water. The Sanctuary here is a paradise for wildlife enthusiasts. Ranganathittu is loaded with surprises all around. Crocodiles basking under the sun, otters running free, flocks of birds gathered on tiny islands. Ranganathittu is indeed a visual delight. Birds coming from Siberia, Australia and even North America can be spotted here.
While taking a ride on the cane boats just be ready for a fluttering surprise. It may be the Open-Bill Stork, The White Ibis, Egret, Heron, Partridge or even the Cormorant trying to say hello
Depart for Nagarhole. Check in at Lodge upon arrival. Later leave to Sanctuary for Safari, Overnight at Lodge
Day 4 - Nagarhole
Leave to Sanctuary for Safari, there are excellent facilities for viewing wildlife and large groups of gaur, elephant, sambar, chital and even the occasional tiger or leopard is seen. Among other mammals are the muntjac, the tiny mouse deer, wild boar, pangolin, giant squirrel, slender oris, langurs and macaques. Lesser cats like the jungle cat, leopard cat and rusty spotted cat are also resident species. Leave for evening safari. Overnight at lodge
Day 5 - Nagarhole / Ooty
Leave to Sanctuary for Safari, return to hotel and Depart for Ooty

Leave to visit. Botanical Gardens, The gardens lie on the lower slopes of Dodabetta peak, the highest point in Ooty. Clipped bushes in the form of elephants, with raised trunks, and other animals greet the visitors, all over the Gardens. More than a thousand different species of plants including thirty odd varieties of eucalyptus. The Roman Catholic Cathedral, recently enlarged, can be seen on the road from Charing Cross to the Botanical Gardens

Day 6 - Ooty
Breakfat at hotel. Leave to visit Ooty
Ootacmund Club : It is the most elegant British club. The British influences are very strongly found here.The Ooty hunt, hunt for jackals is one of the main attractions of the club. Wenlock Downs, at Ooty Gymkhana Golf club offers an ideal place for a game of golf. Charing Cross : It is a road junction with markets around it. A short walk from Charing Cross is the Spencers departmental store, which still sells its own Planter's Special cigars, made of Indian tobacco. Ooty lake- OOTY lake is favourite tourist spots of the visitors. The lake covers an area of one and a half square miles, with a railway running along one bank. The large graveyard of St. Thomas's church, built in 1870, overlooks the lake. It has the tallest memorial of Ooty, a huge pillar surmounted by a cross, over the grave of William Patrick Adam, the Governor of Madras Presidency, who died in Ooty in 1881. Paddle boats or rowing boats are available for boating enthusiasts

Day 7 - Ooty / Munnar
Breakfast at hotel. Then Drive to Munnar and on arrival, check-in at the hotel
Munnar, largely blanketed by tea plantations, this little hill resort offers breath-taking scenery. Munnar is a breathtakingly beautiful - a Heaven of peace and tranquility - the idyllic tourist destination in God's own country. Situated at an altitude of 1525 metres, this town has a local bracing climate. The atmosphere is fragrant with extensive tea and cardamom plantations. There are enchanting high ranges, lakes and streams and lovely views of low flying clouds and mist filled valleys .
Leave to visit Munnar’s top attraction is its scenic tea gardens and is top priority on any travel itinerary in this area. There are around 30 tea estates. On the way to top station, at a spot on the lake embankment, amid some hills, every loud sound is echoed manifold by the surrounding hills— the spot is called Echo point which also offers panoramic views. It is just 15 km from Munnar. An excellent place, especially for young travelers to disembark for a while, yell out — and listen to your voice coming back to you!
Top station, 41 km (1hr) from Munnar is aptly named, as it is home to some of the highest tea plantations in India. It commands a panoramic view of rolling green hills.
Eravikulam National Park is one of Kerala’s finest wildlife reserves, and its excellent location, a mere 16 km from Munnar, makes it an unforgettable experience for any lover of the outdoors. The park, a spread of 97 km across Rajamalai Hills, is a combination of grassland and shola forests.

Day 8 - Munnar / Periyar
Breakfast at hotel, Depart for the small village of Thekkady, with the accesses of the National park of the lake Periyar in the middle of the spice plantations.
Periyar- A pleasant place to escape from the madding crowds of the cities and towns, Periyar is a nice place to cruise on the lake, a place to enjoy a jungle walk with an opportunity to see the wild animals. The most attended natural reserve of India of the south, the park of Periyar extends on 777 km square and includes/understands an artificial lake of 26 square meters on the Cardamom Hills of the Western Ghats. Thekkady is the home to one of the largest wildlife reserves in India. Alive with exotic flora and vibrant wildlife, it is the perfect getaway tucked away among hills. A wild life reserve hence is an ideal place to track down wild life such as Elephants, Bison, Deer and numerous other varieties of birds.

Day 9 - Periyar
Early morning Private boatcruise on the Lake of the famous Periyar wildlife sanctuary to see wild life. Periyar - an artificial lake or reservoir created by a dam on Periyar River is the heart of the Wildlife Sanctuary wild elephants, Asiatic Deer, Black Buck and even Tigers come to shores of the lake for a drink. This reservoir meanders around the contours of the wooded hills, providing a perennial source of water for the local wildlife. Herds of elephant and sambar, gaur and wild pigs wander down to the lakeside and can be observed from the launches that cruise the lake. Periyar also harbors the leopard, wild dog, barking deer and mouse deer. On the rocky outcrops along the lake, monitor lizards can be seen basking in the sun. Visitors who trek into the Park often see a python and sometimes even a king cobra Return Back to hotel for breakfast.
Later in afternoon Leave to Visit the spice plantation. The landscape here is with very tropical and you will be surrounded by tea, coffee & other spices. The location of the resort was excellent , built inside a Spice Plantation having varied kind of spices like Cardamom,etc . It feels as if living inside a dense forest but safe and with all services avalable for staying . The service was exceptional and personalised service was given from the moment we arrived at the place.

Day 10 - Periyar
Leave for excursion to wildlife sanctuary. Return back to hotel for breakfast. Rest of day free to relaxe. Overnight at hotel.
Day 11 - Periyar / Kumarakom
After Breakfast in hotel. Departure in direction of Kumarakom. On arrival, Checkin at hotel. At the end of afternoon, Leave for walk on the lake Vembanadu with laying down sun. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 12 - Kumarakom / Allepey / Cochin
Enjoy a Cruise in morning and Leave for Cochin. On arrival checkin at hotel.

Cochin, Kerala’s commercial center, it has a fine natural harbour. Cochin(Kochi) gateway for Kerala is famous for Mattanchery Palace, Fort Cochin, Vasco Da Gama Square, St. Francis Church, Wellington Island, Bolgatty Island, Dutch Palace, Chinese Fishing nets and Jewish Synagogue. Breakfast at hotel. Later transfer to the airport for your flight to Mumbai. Upon arrival Transfer to the international airport for your onward flight back home with the sweet memories of India.
